Yamaha Saluto 125
The Saluto 125 is Yamaha’s premium commuter motorcycle positioned in the 125cc segment. It comes with Yamaha’s ‘Blue Core’ technology that is offered in the brand’s other models but its called family bike.
The Saluto 125 looks more or less similar to the Yamaha SZ-R and provides all the basic features of a commuter bike. It features a front cowl with windscreen, 7.6-litre stylish fuel tank, large horn and an electric starter,comfortable seating with convenient grab bar. The Saluto 125 provides telescopic forks up front and dual shocks at the rear. Braking is performed by drum brakes with an option of disc setup for the front.Yamaha provides unique “Unified Braking System (UBS)” which partially applies the front brake simultaneously during complete application of the rear brake also.
The Yamaha Saluto is powered by a 125cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, carburetted engine that generates 8.2bhp of power and 10.01Nm of torque. This motor is paired with a four-speed gearbox. The motorcycle weighs is 112kg and claimed that with the new ‘Blue Core’ technology, the Saluto 125 is capable of delivering good fuel economy becoming family bike.
The motorcycle is offered in four colour shades with new graphics likely Glory Green,Matt Green, Smoky Black,Sparky Cyan. The Yamaha Saluto rivals with the Bajaj Discover 125, Hero Glamour & Ignitor and Honda CB Shine in Bangladesh.
The Yamaha Saluto 125 provides on an average mileage arround 65kmpl customers reported and according to ARAI 78 kmpl whereas its top speed is about 95 kmph.
